Weaving the sacred and the creative

Embodied Arts & Wellness offers an oasis of true nourishment -- not the quick fix kind -- the slow down, move, breathe and feel, connect with what is real inside of you kind. In a face paced, tech forward world, we offer an invitation to return home to yourself -- to the inherent wisdom within your body, and to Source -- through movement, presence and creativity.

Our offerings are infused with Spirit, inviting a return to ritual space, weaving the sacred and the creative into embodied practices that support the full range of expression -- from deep, restorative stillness to inspired, dynamic expression -- a reminder that coming back to center can be simple, that movement, whether inward or outward is healing, and that embodied play is a necessary and healthy tool for self-regulation and growth; for adults, children and families.

She received a  BFA in theater with a minor in writing and her love of dance, theater and the physical body led her to complete an MFA in Lecoq-based Actor Created Physical Theater from London International School of Performing arts and completed her pedagogical training with Giovanni Fusetti in 2009. She has worked as a choreographer, movement director and teacher of yoga, dance, creative movement, somatic movement, theater, puppetry, clown and mask for all ages. She  has performed across the US and  internationally in London, Edinburgh, France, Germany, Italy, Bulgaria and Turkey.

"Lucia has inspired our community for decades. Her dance is grounded and surrendered. Her heart is wide open, pouring forth such sweet love. Her creativity is an endless stream of surprises. Her capacity to bring her audience and community to tears is like none other. She also causes us all to laugh and delight in the human reality that we all find ourselves moving through. Being with Lucia is like basking in sunshine. She is warm, radiant, and clear. I can hear her laughter now; gracious, spacious, free. Lucia is filled with light because she is not afraid to be with the darkness. On and off the stage, she is a teaching and teacher of paradox and wholeness!"
