Winter is a time to restore and re-set. Dive into deep rest this New Year with this gentle emersion class including Yin Yoga, somatic. movement and Yoga Nidra. This class will calm your nervous system and nourish every level of your physiology.

About Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is more than just poses on a mat. It is a meditative practice that helps to unwind the nervous system, open and balance the meridians (energy channels) of the body and support the release of physical and mental tension. The slow pace, intentional transitions and extended hold time of each posture allows for a deep state of restfulness.

Poses primarily stay close to the floor and target the deeper connective tissues of the body, often focusing on the hips, legs and spine. Props such as bolsters, pillows and blocks help to bring comfort to the body, which allows for more stillness. Each pose is held for several minutes, followed by a rebound or rest period which encourages deep listening and receptivity in the body, mind and heart.
